Bank Ledger Paper Stationery

Originally developed in 1960 by Mitsubishi Paper Mills Limited, Bank Ledger Paper was created for use in Japan’s banking ledgers—designed to handle long hours of record-keeping with exceptional strength and smoothness. Over time, its beautiful writing surface, excellent ink absorption, and durability made it beloved among fountain pen users and paper connoisseurs.

In September 2024, production of Bank Ledger Paper came to an end, marking the close of a remarkable era in Japanese papermaking. What remains today are limited stocks—each sheet now a rare treasure for those who appreciate the tactile and timeless joy of writing.

Experience the gentle texture and quiet elegance of one of Japan’s most celebrated writing papers, preserved for a limited time before it becomes part of history.
