The History of Tomoe River Loose Leaf Paper's Maker

Paper Paper is a brand created by SAKAE Technical Paper. Its history dates back to 1940. SAKAE has gone through several successions and company splits. It has also been an agent for Tomoe River, a brand with a global fanbase. Tomoe River’s success likely owes much to SAKAE’s achievements.

Since 2014, SAKAE has produced and sold Tomoe RiverFP notebooks using Tomoe River paper. Even after Tomoegawa transferred the rights to Sanzen Seishi, SAKAE continued production using the new Tomoe River.

The mission of Paper Paper is to explore the appeal of paper and expand possibilities between people and paper. Beyond Tomoe River, they continue to develop new papers like Iroful, supporting stationery lovers worldwide.
