RO-BIKI Flying Birds Notebook – Dot Grid

Sale price$12.00 USD

Flying Birds features an original illustration of salmon-toned birds in graceful flight, set against a deep sage green waxed kraft paper cover. The warm, muted tones of the birds against the rich green background evoke a sense of quiet movement and open sky — a small, considered composition that rewards closer attention.

The cover is made from RO-BIKI paper, a specialty waxed kraft developed by Yamamoto Paper in Japan. The wax coating provides a distinctive matte texture and subtle natural sheen, along with durability and light water resistance. With use, the surface develops a gentle patina that makes each notebook distinctly its own.

Inside, 48 pages of Yamamoto Paper's Solist paper are laid out in a 3.5mm dot grid. Solist is an ultra-thin 30gsm paper engineered for fountain pens: ink sits cleanly on the surface with no feathering and no bleed-through, and the dot grid prints in a soft gray that guides the hand without competing with the writing.

At 60mm × 95mm, RO-BIKI Flying Birds fits easily in any pocket. Whether used for quick sketches, notes on the go, or a daily journal, it is a notebook built to be carried — and to be reached for often.

Yamamoto Paper — Preserving the Joy of Paper for the Future

Based in Sakai, Osaka, Yamamoto Paper was founded in 1972 as a paper specialist. Drawing on decades of experience connecting paper manufacturers with end users, they now design and produce their own original stationery. At the heart of their work is a belief in “sharing the joy and warmth of paper with confidence for generations to come.”

Rather than simply selling beautiful paper, Yamamoto Paper values delivering the full character of each sheet—its writing feel, texture, and the way it changes over time. They are also known as “custodians” of paper culture, reviving legendary papers that have gone out of production and passing them on to the next generation.

What makes Yamamoto Paper especially beloved is their balance of craftsmanship and playfulness. Their Paper Tasting series, for example, lets you sample different types of paper as if you were tasting wine, turning the exploration of paper into a delightful experience. It’s this combination of uncompromising quality and creative spirit that has earned them loyal fans among stationery lovers and fountain pen enthusiasts around the world.
