RO-BIKI Canvas Cover with Stationery Pocket – Clay Beige

The RO-BIKI Canvas Cover with Stationery Pocket in Clay Beige is a Japanese notebook cover made from 16 oz organic cotton canvas, cut and sewn in Japan to hold Yamamoto Paper's slim RO-BIKI notebooks, 3.6" × 8.3" (9.1 × 21 cm). Clay beige is a warm, earthy greige, set off by a pale blue grey elastic band and a matching zip along the fore edge.

The front carries slim slip pockets sized for pens, a ruler, and the small tools that otherwise settle at the bottom of a bag, and the zip pocket takes anything loose: stamps, clips, a spare converter. The elastic band holds everything closed and adjusts with a hook and loop tab. Connecting bands are included, so a second notebook can be bound in alongside the first.

At 16 oz the canvas is heavy stock, stiff at first and slow to give. It softens with handling and gradually takes the shape of the notebook and the hand that carries it, the same way the waxed cover inside develops its own character. Wash it by hand only, gently, in warm water with a bar of laundry soap. Color can shift and the shape can pull if it goes through a machine.

Closed, it stays slim enough to slide into a jacket or a bag beside a laptop. Opened flat, the notebook sits on one side and your pens on the other, which turns a slim notebook into a small writing kit you can set down anywhere.
