The cover features Yamamoto Paper’s signature RO-BIKI (wax-coating) technique: kraft paper infused with heated paraffin wax, giving it a soft sheen, gentle water resistance, and a warmth you can feel right away. Over time, the cover develops a unique patina, becoming distinctly yours with use.

“Im Blau” (German: “In Blue”) was painted in 1925 while Kandinsky was teaching at the Bauhaus. The painting builds geometric and organic shapes across a deep blue ground, combining triangles, arcs, and floating forms in colors that suggest rhythm and movement without representing anything specific. Kandinsky developed a systematic theory connecting color, shape, and feeling during these years, and “Im Blau” is one of his clearest expressions of it. The original is held at the Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen in Düsseldorf, Germany.
