These Mermaid Top-Tab Index Dividers for M5 planners in Assorted Blues are a set of five blank divider sheets made from TAKEO's Mermaid-FS paper, each with a tab along the top edge in a different position, so you can divide an M5 ring planner into five clearly marked sections.

The tabs sit along the top edge in five staggered positions, so they stay clear of a pen held in the planner's pen loop, and you can write on them to label each section, for example monthly, weekly, tasks, notes and ideas. The Assorted Blues set gathers five shades of the sea, one color per tab: ruri (lapis blue), deep sea, sea, shizuku (water drop), turquoise. The dividers measure 6.2 cm × 11 cm and have 5 holes.

Mermaid has a gentle, ripple-like felt mark across its surface, a soft texture you can see and feel. At approximately 279 gsm and about 0.44 mm thick, it is a firm, card-weight sheet.

Mermaid has been part of TAKEO's range since 1956, when it was launched under the supervision of the designer Hara Hiromu. It was first called Mermaid Ripple, after the gentle waves of a sea where mermaids live. Its texture is a felt mark: on the paper machine, a felt with a woven pattern presses that pattern into the surface of the sheet. Mermaid is machine-made in Japan and today comes in 60 colors.

The Story of TAKEO

TAKEO Co., Ltd. is a specialist paper merchant founded in 1899 in Kyobashi, Tokyo, as Takeo Yoshiten, and based in Kanda since the following year. For generations it has supplied fine papers to graphic designers, printers and publishers, and its range covers thousands of papers that differ in color, texture and weight. At the TAKEO Mihoncho main store in Kanda, visitors can buy around 2,700 kinds of paper one sheet at a time, arranged by color, and feel each one before they choose.

TAKEO PAPER PRODUCTS is the company's own stationery line. Its planner refills are made from papers selected out of those thousands of fine papers, and its products are designed and made in Japan, with each one inspected by hand.
