Maeju Shikki, officially known as Maeju Shikki Co., Ltd., is a long-established Japanese lacquerware maker founded in 1939 in Yamanaka Onsen, Japan. Located in Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture, Yamanaka has been renowned for over 400 years as a center of lacquerware production, especially for its exceptional woodturning techniques (rokuro-biki).
