Dressco’s Onion Skin Notebook uses Takeo’s original “Kaito Joe Onion Skin” paper for the interior, a thin yet resilient sheet with a gentle wrinkle that adds character to handwriting. Pencil, ballpoint, and fountain pen glide with pleasing feedback, and the subtle translucency invites layering, tracing, and creative note-taking.

The cover is Stardream-FS Quartz, a pearlescent paper with a soft sparkle that recalls a night sky. Inside, the endsheets are Arabelle-FS White for a calm, velvety touch. Together, these papers showcase the richness of Japanese fine paper craft in a notebook that feels refined but never precious.

This onion skin stock was carefully revived by Takeo in recent years after domestic production once ceased, bringing back a beloved paper known for its light weight and durability.
