Blush Pink Flowers Glass Dip Pen with Pen Rest

The Blush Pink Flowers Glass Dip Pen is a handcrafted Japanese glass dip pen from Gabi Kobo, made from opaque pale pink glass with small yellow blossoms set into the barrel. The pink is milky rather than bright, closer to the inside of a shell than to a printed pink.

Each blossom is five short yellow petals drawn onto the surface of the pink glass. They are scattered a few to a pen along the barrel rather than set in a repeating row, so the arrangement differs from one pen to the next.

Gabi Kobo is the studio of Tomoya Sakagami, a young artisan who taught himself glass after coming across a beginner's burner kit in a department store.

A pen rest of two pale pink spheres is included, so the nib stays off the paper while you reach for the bottle. The clear fluted nib takes Japanese dip pen inks and writes a fine line. Rinse the nib in water between colours.
