These Araveal Paper Planner Inserts in M5 size from TAKEO give you 50 blank sheets of Araveal, a softly textured Japanese fine paper, in five muted colors to fill an M5 ring planner with notes, lists and plans.

M5 is the most compact of TAKEO's three refill sizes, with 6.2 × 10.5 cm sheets and five holes, a size that suits a small planner you carry every day. The pack holds ten sheets each of natural, ash gray, prime rose, sage green and slate blue, so you can color-code sections, separate projects from daily notes, or keep reference pages easy to find. The sheets are blank, leaving the layout up to you.

Araveal has a delicate texture and a gentle, soft touch. Each sheet weighs approximately 104.7 gsm and is about 0.15 mm thick. TAKEO does not publish fountain pen guidance for this paper, so if you write with fountain pens, try your ink on one sheet first.

TAKEO launched Araveal in 1989, after setting out to develop an uncoated printing paper with a delicate texture and a soft touch. It is made by Daio Paper, and in 2019 the brand was renamed Araveal-FS as TAKEO moved it to FSC-certified paper. TAKEO builds its planner refills from papers selected out of the thousands of fine papers it handles.

The Story of TAKEO

TAKEO Co., Ltd. is a specialist paper merchant founded in 1899 in Kyobashi, Tokyo, as Takeo Yoshiten, and based in Kanda since the following year. For generations it has supplied fine papers to graphic designers, printers and publishers, and its range covers thousands of papers that differ in color, texture and weight. At the TAKEO Mihoncho main store in Kanda, visitors can buy around 2,700 kinds of paper one sheet at a time, arranged by color, and feel each one before they choose.

TAKEO PAPER PRODUCTS is the company's own stationery line. Its planner refills are made from papers selected out of those thousands of fine papers, and its products are designed and made in Japan, with each one inspected by hand.
