Midori MD Notebook – A6

Sale price$15.00 USD

Sheet Type:

This pocket-sized MD notebook is made for capturing ideas the moment they come to you. The A6 format fits easily in one hand and slips into almost any bag or jacket pocket, so you can keep it close during your commute, at a café, or on a walk. Inside are 176 pages of Midori’s MD Paper Cream, a smooth, lightly textured paper created especially for comfortable everyday writing. The soft ivory tone is gentle on the eyes and lets fountain pen inks and gel pens show their color beautifully.

MD Paper was originally developed in Japan in the 1960s as diary paper and has been refined over many years. It is known for handling fountain pens very well, with minimal feathering or bleed-through, so you can write on both sides of the page with confidence. The notebook uses thread-stitched binding that opens flat, which makes it easy to write all the way to the center of the spread. A thin bookmark ribbon and index stickers help you mark important pages and organize notes over time.

You can choose from three page styles to suit how you like to write: blank for free sketches and layouts, lined for journaling and everyday notes, and a light grid that works well for planning, lists, and small diagrams. The notebook is wrapped in a translucent glassine cover that protects the pages while keeping the simple MD design visible, so it feels understated but special every time you pick it up. Made in Japan, this A6 MD notebook is a reliable companion for anyone who wants to keep a small, well-made Japanese notebook close at hand every day.

Gift for my grandson and his trip to Japan

"I purchased this little notebook for my grandson who is planning to travel to Japan. I included it in his box of birthday gifts. I'm hoping he will use it to write down his daily experiences in Japan and all the wonderful places he visits and things he sees. I didn't actually see the little notebook I purchased before I gave it to him because it was so beautifully wrapped and I didn't want to unwrap it. But he enjoyed receiving it and I printed the note for him that you sent about the wrap. I visited Japan in 1985 and have wonderful memories from that trip as well as a live-long friend - Izumi. I did not write a journal at the time but I took many pictures (and I shared some of these with my grandson). Anyway, I think the notebook was a hit!"
